[glow=red,2,300] ***SPOILER*** [/glow] Welp, we went and saw it this past weekend. It was phenomenal. Totally raised the bar for comic book movies as far as I'm concerned. The accuracy and faith to the original books is almost unbelievable. The inevitable changes and updates are completely true to the spirit of the book and took nothing away from the story. My only - let me repeat, ONLY complaint was that in the final act the devastation caused by Ozymandius didn't seem to be played up enough. It was well stated what he did, but the visuals provided didn't seem to do it justice and therefore kinda diminished the impact. Still, best movie I've seen in years (best ever in this genre). I'll be looking forward to adding it to my DVD collection and I recommend everybody go see it in the theater regardless of your opinion of the books.

Maybe the rumoured 4 hour Directors Cut DVD will elaborate on the global impact of Ozy's scheme?Only the screens give the notion of what happened elsewhere. Didnt mind the changes, actually liked them better to be honest, didnt seem to miss the Black Freighter story either from the overall scheme but will check it out when it released. The amount of ,and attention to detail is what really impressed me from the 1940's costumes right up to sauce stain on the T shirt

I loved the film, totally amazing. I understand the changes and agree with them. I will be buying out the rumoured 4 hour Directors Cut DVD when/if it's released.

According to superherohype it's taken a dive in the boxoffice: It's a shame. So many people seem to dislike it for some reason. Yet there were plenty of people who liked Superman Returns... I really don't understand human beings any more. <

Did anyone notice the 300 reference during the murder fight of The Comedian?
Actually, I'm amazed that the story keeps him relevant on many levels while being in his grave.
FYI I laughed through the whole Leonard Cohen/ love scene bit
