looks like it could be official- Downey jr Vs. Rourke on May 7th 2010. www.superherohype.com/news/ironmannews.php?id=8159Hope it dosnt turn into a drinking contest! Samuel J is signed up to return as Fury in this and future Marvel studio flix. Scarlett Johannson is rumoured for Natasha,AKA Black Widow. Any other BW contenders to be thought off? and so the road to THE AVENGERS continues ...after THor and Captain America!!!

Johansson confirmed as Widow. >> www.superherohype.com/news/ironmannews.php?id=8160I can't stand her, she's a frickin' annoyance. I will, however, be looking forward to seeing some in-costume shots. I'M HUMAN, DAMNIT! I'd have preferred someone else. Maybe her that played Thelma in Scooby Doo?

I can't say I'm upset at the news of either of them being cast, Rourke is a good actor and Johansson is just eye candy.

Damn, great eye candy. Two of this years Oscar nominees against each other. Maybe the prize should be the twig Oscar from Tropic Thunder

I see the recession is hitting the budget for this movie then... Mind you, its a brave move to set it in 1985 (or is that just Downeys hair?)

I heard they imported Downey's hair from Jack Black's Tropic Thunder testicle-toupe'.
It's freaky to think that dude's gonna be Sherlock Holmes!

Why? We had some odd Holmes over the years. One of my favourite was Christopher Lee. I always felt like he was this close to Killing Watson when he asked a question no matter how sensible a question it was.

Don't think I've really watched any of the Lee Holmes'. He did two different ones, didn't he?
You ever see either of the two John Cleese spoof ones? The second one, The Strange Case Of The End Of Civilisation, is on youtube.
Not so good, really. Which is a shame as it *should* have been good.

I saw it online a week or two back and wasn't impressed. It's basically Tony Stark in Holmes' time with a British accent. Not very Holmes-like at all.
He's actually a ladies' man in this which is against Holmes' personality.

Mickey as WHIPLASH. Very homo-erotic. And after googling, very true to the comic book version. Is he a major threat to Iron Man?
