On todays episode of Ultrasteo’s couch, the topic is how women make men feel. After the break we’re going to discuss why men think they can get away with pink shirts. Deliciously off topic subjects

You stole that line from Dylan Moran! You comedy thief, you! Men are fucked up balls of weirdness. For decades last century our social persona was of hardened, uncaring tough guys, but really we've always been desperate for romance. We loosened up near the end of last century, but we still have that "men are hard" thing. I think that's where all the fiction comes from. The guy, the hero, always gets a girl at the end. And most of the fiction in the proper old days was written by dudes. Me, I can't get the girl. I can get A girl, but never the one I want. And if I ever do, I seem to turn into an arrogant prick a bit. Happened once years back and though I loved the way she made me feel (when it was good), I actually hated myself a bit. Got a bit drunk on the affection and got a bit pompous in meself. Then the bitch went away and I started hating her too. Fuck. So we listen to sad music and get into a state and feel the crippling heartbreak in us, and we go through the motions until we feel better. Then we get food, some chocolate, and go to bed. Or stay up extra late and watch porn, constantly feeling worse and worse as we see beautiful women being treated roughly but ugly men that we'll never be. This is the cycle I've noticed myself doing over and over, and I think it might be getting a bit better now I've caught onto it. But for a few years there I was doing this every once in a while and thinking to myself that she's probably off somewhere living la vida loca, not even remembering my name. Got like this the other day after watching Sherlock Holmes. The bit at the end with Holmes saying he'll miss his love interest. That whole melancholy state thing. I really think entertainment plays that up and makes it worse for guys these days. Shamelessly stole it. Thanks for the sexy words of hope and optimism dude... I appreciate you lifting my spir..... hey... WAIT A MINNIT! I like your spirits on the floor... Where I can fuckem.

The Courteeners - Cross My Heart and Hope To Fly.
"So I cross my heart and hope to fly Fuck right off into the middle of the sky
Where no one can find me and no one can see that would be my exstasy"

listening to bits from the new disturbed album 'asylum', on the special edition, the covered a song done by an irish band. for some reason, it wasnt listed on the jacket and when i saw it on on the track listing i said wtf when it came up as initials.
anyways, the song originally came off an album called the joshua tree, i.s.h.f.w.i.l.f.

been spending many hours listening to the scott pilgrim vs the world soundtrack. its a little punky, a little garage and a very dirty bass sound throughout. features songs from the rolling stones, t.rex and original recordings written by beck and performed by those who appeared in the movie
if you have not seen the movie, do! watch it, go go go go go. everything on the cd is in the movie
