The first War for Cyberton toys have finally been released as part of the Generations line. Straight from the game we have Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Despite been Deluxe class ,these figures are highly detailed and intricit, think the fun designs of Animated mixed with the technical transformation of Alternators/Binaltech. There really is a lot of movement for what is a Deuxe figure. Prime should have been a voyager scale figure. He captures the essence of the character great, heroic and statuesque. he is a cross between the Animated design and the War Within Cybertron body. Articulation is thruout except at the waist, there is no light piping in the eyes. The rifle has an automorph function that folds over and is stored in Primes back or on side Forearms or in hands. The vehicle mode is smooth and fits together quite well with lots of panels interlocking. The only downside to this fig is that it is a deluxe and im not comfortable seing Prime the same height as Bumblebee! Bumblebee looks like a good representaton of how his G1 version may have looked before arriving on Earth. Put this next to Classics Bumblebee and you will see the progression of reformatting, particuarlly the head. Bee comes with a hand gun that can be stored underneath in vehicle mode. He also features flip out Blades or "Stingers", a homage to Animated? Vehicle mode reminds me of Tron or Automan. Like Prime, transformation involves alot of movement and more advanced than the average Classic/Universe deluxe. Well done Hasbro, these two are fun.
