So glad That the 3rd party overpriced version didnt get released befor this. IDW's (and Shane McCarthy's) favourite son gets immortalised in plastic after a 2 year wait. That 's Right, the hero of All Hail Megatron is here! Storm Shadow..,oh excuse me , DRIFT is part of the Generations line and comes packed in car mode like most Deluxes. the car Features Japanesse looking Cybertonian symbols to sell the fact that he is a samurai/Ninja bot. The sword can be attatched under the car similar to Alternators Grimlock. Transformation is as easy as say classics Bumblebee, yes its that complicated! The car doors contain scabards for two smaller swords on either sides. these hang from the hips on ballsocket joints similar to MP Starscream and kinda get in the way. The shoulders also get in the way of poses too. The sword fits in the back of the fig and is made of that very soft almost rubber plastic, Bludgeons sword is harder by comparrison. Again there symbols running down the blade. There is normal deluxe articulation except for the waist. Drift will be repainted with a new head and released as Blurr, Dont know how the swords gimmick will work and if door panels will be fixed, but in all honesty i think Animated Blurr fits in well with the Classics line, his sleek tall slender design shown off his speed and persona. on a plus note, the twist ties now seem to be made fromcardboard or paperbased instead of plastic.

The Blurr repaint will have a rifle instead of the swords.
We'll get a Wreckers display out of hasbro yet...

I got him the other day, I have to say he's pretty cool. The only bad point I found that's not covered in Jays review is that the bonnet doesn't sit right in car mode.

Quite simply Drift rocks. He fits in well with the rest of the classics line, at least with my collection of them anyway.
