Alright guys just doing a snap review, currently cannot locate my camera cable but sure pictures else where will make sense
Starting with Wheeljack:
Alt mode: His alt mode is pretty nice, nice sharp edges make him look sleek and fast. The alt mode is quite small to say the least which seems to be the new trend with the tf line since dotm. It's smaller than gens wheeljack should most of you have size comparisons. The colours in alt mode are striking, the red is red and the green mixed with red are undeniably wheeljack. It is with closer inspection that this mold could've been drift or indee sideswipe.
Robot mode: This is where this guy really shines, out of a very compact alt mode comes a figure taller than gens wheeljack by about a head and smaller than voyager dotm megatron by head and shoulders, so a decently proportioned figure all in all. Wheeljack's mouth plate is moulded into battle mode which I like as a G1 reference. The swords are made from softish plastic and he looks and feels quite nice in hand.
I'd give him 8/10, he loses marks for me by the alt mode being so small.
Soundwave:
Alt mode: The trend of smallness continues, to give an idea his alt mode is smaller in width and length to his ROTF counterpart. The alt mode is solid as a little spy plane/ predator plane. Laserbeak attaches to him in both modes and makes a very good attachement that's not distracting. He's mostly dark grey with some purple and shades of blue.
Robot mode: Wow is all I have to say. The decepticon spy is in probably his best looking incarnation yet imo. He's sleek, little or no kibble, looks creepy and sinister and his head ultimately looks like the decepticon symbol which has been the idea since G1.
His height is nice, he's quite tall, he's taller than his ROTF counterpart in bot mode and just a bit smaller than voyager DOTM Megatron.
Of the two I feel Soundwave is the best con design wise in ages. He looks the part, looks sorta spindly but kinda like a snake eyes too and laserbeak is a nice bonus.
Wheeljack is picture perfect from his model in the show so no complaints.
The only thing I would like is that for 15.99 the deluxes are small , however design wise I don't feel bad at all for paying the price as these look the two best figures since the F/E's.
