Youri is correct and i can confirm that it does play over the end credits, exactly like the original 60's version, which sounds abit out of place for a few seconds, cos of what you heard during the previous 2 hours! Oh and Kirk likes the Beastie Boys!

ive just seen this twice in the past 2 days, this movie is spot on and i agree with what jay has been saying about this, it takes the old and by certain chance events makes this into something new, the new actors playing old characters is great, was kinda worred that karl urban would be crap as mccoy but i think he came out of this the best

Y'know, if there's one thing that troubles me with it, it's Spock. Young Spock, that is. He's sort of unlikeable at times. He's got funny moments and bits where he's really likeable, but other times he kind of comes across as a bit of a jerk or a villain.
I think maybe it's coz he's the superior officer to the new recruits so it's a bit disjointed in how he's supposed to deal with them, but it didn't sit entirely right with me. Also his thing with Uhura was unexpected and a bit weird.
In the sequels it'll probably be cooler though, now that Kirk's officially in command.
They should do Khan next! Then maybe the Mirrorverse. If they did the Mirror, Mirror stuff next it'd be too much parallel realities type stuff too early, I think.

Seen the film myself last night and I really enjoyed it I'm not a trekkie in fact I never really liked Star Trek to begin with but this film is great...there's action ,laughs, excitement , suspense and some really quality acting unlike fighting which I seen last week which was terrible I strongly advise everyone not to see fighting as it is rubbish, to make matters worse the leading actor in fighting is putting himself up for captain america which would seriously hurt cap as channing tatum can't act...But Chris Pine our new Kirk can act and he has everything going for him and I was impressed with him in Star Trek..I'd give the film 5 outta 5 as I really enjoyed it even though the time travelling and alternate worlds thing was confusing somewhat.

The scenes with Kirk's inflated hands had me pishing myself! Is Channing Tatum the fella playing Duke in GI Joe? Or was he one of the birds in Cagney And Lacey...? Chris Pine as Steve Rogers would be interesting.

He is yep and he sure can't act so I am really surprised he got that role in such a (potential)big film but I've a feeling he'll cheese many people off when they watch him..at least snake eyes looks deadly.
