Note to Hasbro: You F'd Up!!! This should have been the Leader class release of Megatron!! Dispite a few flaws here and there, this is the definitive movie-verse Megatron.
It boasts the re-paired and resurrected Megatrons look from Revenge of the Fallen as well as his new Cybertronian battle tank mode rom the movie-think the Batmobile tumbler with a massive cannon on it .
The cannon fires the obligatory red clear coloured projectile /missle blast. The tank mode is heavily armoured and shows hints of Megatrons jet cruiser mode but alsa no triple changer feture!
Megatron is a Blue/silver colour, unlike the dark silver Leader class version, He is poseable to a certain degree at nearly every joint.
Megatron has his cannon arm which incoporates the sword that extends out as part of the mech alive gimmick and can be used to recreate a certain scene of the movie. twisting Megatrons torso operates the cogs and gears in his chest to move. Twisting his left arm moves the pistons in his endoskeleton beneath the armour.
Megatron does suffer from some kibble issues, his wings just sit on his back a bit more than they should,a few more folds woud have made them neater. another bad point is in the legs. the tank treads(heel) and feet are at a kind of hind leg position to make him stand straight, but viewing him from the side makes him look very starnge, but being able to put him in various poses can hide this look.
The cannon of the tank becomes the right hand, which can still fire a projectile in robot mode, but it looks like 4 forks held together by a rubberband when viewed as a hand.
Overall i'd give this figure 3.75 out of 5. It's a near perfect rendition of the big guy in look, but it fails on a few niggling gripes like scale, the lazy leg design, and a missed oppertunity to add the 3rd cruiser mode.
