Well hot of the shelves we have the HA Bumblebee. Found him In My local Smyths today for 37.99. So is he worth that sizeable price tag ? Yes...yes he is .
He comes packaged in car mode in a nice collector friendly box (If your the kind that likes to keep their toys misb) with Sam standing beside him
He comes in car mode so I'll start there. Its nice ,very nice. It's extremly soild in this form and nicely detailed. The missiles for the gun store along either side nice and unentrusively.
The big thing with the Human Alliance range is the fact that the included figure can sit in and "drive" the autobot
The figure however is a bitch to get into the seat in full car mode.
Though it does peg very securly to the seat.
For those wondering it does indeed look like the figs would work nicely with alt/BTs.
So transformation is very satisfying and complex though not overly complex some very nice touches including
Allowing the doors to angle for a more screen acurate slant
The way the rear bumper flips to form the knee caps while hiding the car mode licence plate.
Ok so in robot mode is where this figure truely shines.
It's poseable, DAMN poseable! It has: Fully functioning shoulders ,elbows ,wrists ,fingers ! hips ,waist , a double knee jointand forward and back motion on the ankles. The head, while on a ball joint can only rotate 360 degrees bacause of the way the neck is sculpted.
The detailing for the figure is likewise superb with little mech details sculpted in all over. The face in particular is well detailed. Note the teeny red Abot symbol on the forhead crest squueee its red
The head also does something I personally have wanted a movieverse BB to do from day one. Its has a flip down battle mask
also This BB is armed to the teeth! As well as the gun arm he has little flip out weapoins on his left arm ,right shoulder and from behind his head.
A lot of this added firepower is useable by the Sam figure.
Speaking of the Sam fig I was suprised by it. Pleasently so.
Its nicely detailed for a 2 and 1/2 inch figure
Hes about the size of a robot hero
One down side. The expression the sculpted on his face.
Somewhere between "dull surprise" and "i've shat my pants".
And hes pretty poseable too" universal shoulder joints, a neck joint, a mid torso joint,Universal hip joints and knee joints.
Bumblebee has a few hard points that the figure can use
I have a few minor nit picks about this fig but i stress the word minor .
I would have liked to have seen the seats fold down flush onto the arm when not in use. There was ample room for one more pin joint there. The gun arms tip folds away for transformation. it woulda been nice if theyed inculded an extra hand accesory to put on there. And the expression on Sams face
Other the that the toy is friggin awesome. If this is what we can expect from H.a. then i am all over them
solid 4.5/5
