So is BSG too obvious a thing to talk about in a forum full of geeks?
I hope not!!
Final 2 hour finale is hitting the states tonight and I for one will have that bad boy downloading as soon as I get up in the morning.

Can't complain about retconning... it's a staple of the genre!! LOL!
I'm hoping against hope that it ends with a strong finish! I've just invested too much emotion into it for it to be a damp squid.

Really hope it pays off in the end. Was really hoping for a Cylon civil war of some kind involving earlier units and the centurions. As a series i wasnt too mad about the cylons wanting to find God aspect, was cool about how they found Earth and what state it was in. Liked the infiltration units to blend in with the crew from the mini series/movie, but thought the whole hunt down humanity to extinction aspect from original series was a bit wasted. I wanted more centurion action i suppose, I liked the whole creations turning on the masters aspect and the human drama of life in the fleet,(fatique, religious zealots, rations, politics, backstabbing, relationships). The mini series, arrival of the Pegasus/Kain Razor and the whole escape from New Caprica have been the highlights for me.

So I watched the series finale last night. I'll post and say nothing until those watching it on Sky get a chance to see it.

That was the mosr action packed, and satisfying conclusion to a tv series ever!! Dont want to give too many spoilers .All loose ends tied together from all the seasons, I even got my Cylon Civil war, well kind of, apart from some dodgy CGI here and there the Centurions smackdown was great! Some great action, drama, and resonance thru out the finale. When the series was in 2nd season I was thinking that the tone of the shoe would make the arrival on Earth if it happened a big doosie, so i guessed it would be Prehistoric times or future Apocalyptic Earth( cos the 70's series went to present day Earth), well series 3 and 4 certainly kept me guessing and came up with the best solution. Greart series from start to finish, dont know how Caprica miniseries will hold up but looking forward to it. Now to wait for the complete collection DVD boxset. "So say we All!"

Glad you guys liked it! The showdown at the Colony was stellar and certainly made the last few episodes that were a little slow all the more worthwhile. BSG has had some of the best on screen action I've ever seen in a TV series and it easily goes out on a good note!
I also loved that we fade out on the Hendrix version of All Along The Watchtower.... WIN!

The finale was too awesome, I found myself cheering at the telly at times.
