First off, 2 notices about this review. 1I apologize to anyone that I have promised to do this review since it has taken me so long to get around to it, I will try to make it worth the wait. 2. Thanks to the now retired plastic crack dealer J.A.S.O.N. who sold me the guy.
REVIEW - ROTF LONG HAUL
Long Haul from the Revenge of the Fallen line is a shining example on how to take an old character and give him a damn good make over. Unlike the other 2 Constructicons I have, Rampage and Demolishor, Long Haul does not disappoint, unlike the majority of new ROTF voyagers or poor repaints/retools(you know who I mean) of old voyagers. At least Optimus and Megatron got/are getting new voyagers or extra tooling.
ROBOT MODE
He is in his classic green colors, with red stripes on the arm scabbards, shoulders and on the bull bars on the thighs. The bar over his head holding his rear wheels is a muted blue. His eyes are also the same red with no piping. Having piping would have been a poor choice for the eyes since the vehicle flatbed would have been blocking any light getting to it. The look is overall a high quality, the paint is neat as are the few decals scattered across his body. Mind you, I still cannot understand why Hasbro continue to put insignias on characters that didn't bear any in the movies.
Posability is excellent, but I shall point something out first before I jump into poses. The flatbed I mentioned when pointing out piping vs paint for the eyes, does not impact posability in any way. It's incredibly neat and I personally do not consider it to be kibble since it can be secured to the body.
Long Haul has an excellent range of poses from the range of battle stances to changing the way the blades can be oriented on his arms.
Joints are as follows:
180/360 degree ratchets at the shoulders
360 degree turning at the biceps
90 degree elbows
180 degree wrists
Double jointed knees
90/180 degree ratchets at hips
Double jointed toes
Double jointed heel
The extra joints at the feet add so much to his legs, giving him perfect balance for almost any way you want to pose him. It makes him without a doubt the most balanced voyager thus far.
VEHICLE MODE
His vehicle mode is his classic carrier truck. No change there thankfully. Colours don't change much though unless you look from the back the muted blue disappears.

The vehicle mode reminds me of a Tonka truck, sturdy and rigid. The vehicle mode also covers up the robot mode quite well, although the hands can be see at the rear(see above) and from the side.
OVERALL
A fun robot mode with tons of potential and a far higher degree of fun can be gotten from him compared to the 2 other Constructicons above that i have. While, I am yet to get my hands on Mixmaster, I am hoping to find the Back Road Brawl set with the G1 head, Long Haul is a classy voyager that if you couldn't get him in his originlity, wait for Payload and call him G2 Long Haul
SCORE: 9/10
